Macaulay Culkin: No, I was not pounding six grand of heroin a month
Its one of those good ideas you have when youre drunk, and you wake up and forget about it. But were taking it to the end of the joke. We have an album coming out, a vinyl pressing with a childrens choir, a symphony orchestra. Were giving it away, our gift to the world. Does he still find it funny? Of course I find it funny! We rhyme mushrooms with mushrooms, come on. Its the same joke, relentlessly. Like, theyre really doing this?

Macaulay Culkin Says the Pizza Underground Are No More
While the Pizza Underground may be coming to an end, we might see new music from the parody group yet. Back in 2016, Culkin announced that the band were working on a full-length album, complete with a childrens choir and a symphony orchestra. In an interview with Pitchfork last year, around his Culkin-starring music video for Father John Misty, director Adam Green gave an update on that album. I dont know when its going to come out, but its pretty serious, he said. They did a full-on album with orchestration and its pretty intense, so I guess at some point people will hear from the Pizza Underground again.
