tässä kun kuuntelen pitkästä aikaa spectral light & moonshine firefly snakeoil jamboreeta tuli mieleen ettei täällä ole omaa topikkia stone breathille icon_surprised

kyseessä siis timothy rennerin luotsaama poppoo, banjovetoista omalaatuista "psykefolkkia", tämä mainittu spectral light taas on kai sama porukka mutta esittävät lähinnä trad-matskua. sitten on breath stone, joka on kai jotenkin kokeellisempaa, sähköisempää ja sit crow tongue ja timothy revelator -nimellä tais tulla joku soolo. kaikista näistä voi täällä puhua mut en jaksa nimetä otsikkoa liian pitkästi.

en nyt ehdi/jaksa tästä enempää, ehkä joskus mut pistooli-pepe ainakin diggailee, että ei ehkä tarttis pelkäksi yksinpuheluksi mennä biggrin

there.
Not much has been said about The Forest Beggars; and this is as it
should be. You will hear familiar voices there, and unfamiliar voices
- but who did what and who wrote this or that - you will not read. The
Forest Beggars were built to be anonymous, and will remain as such.
What Stone Breath was becoming ( essentially a band playing devotional

This left me holding Stone Breath in question...while also holding
Crow Tongue and my occasional solo outings. While I believe there is
room for artists to have as many different projects as they want; I
also believe there is an element of one man being unable to serve two
or more masters ... and, in a sense, you must choose what is going to
be your main outlet.
When I played the show in State College in April, I played what was
essentially a Stone Breath setlist. It felt good. It felt RIGHT.
And so, I will continue from this point with Stone Breath as my main
musical outlet. There will be more recordings. There will be live
dates. There is no sense in pinning myself to some rule I made up
years ago. I would like to sing my songs for you. I would be honored
if you listened.
On record, I am hoping to bring some new talent to the project, along
with the old. Æ Hoskin (from Crow Tongue) will be there. Some
surprises too, I hope. For live dates the band will likely mutate as
needed and depending on who is available.
There are certain things I do (like ghost eye seeker or
SnowAngelsUndeathSong) which just wouldn't be appropriate for Stone
Breath. For albums like this, we will keep the Crow Tongue name in
reserve. Otherwise, though ... it is Stone Breath songs I am writing
now.
Next up: we are recording a song for a soundtrack to a book. A very
interesting project that I will discuss more later.
Also: new silkscreened t-shirts (not the digitally printed zazzle type
shirts) coming soon!
With all of the above said, I would like to take Stone Breath live for
the first time in many years. I have never, in the history of my
musical career, booked a show myself - always rather playing where and
when I was asked. This most likely has to change, I know. If there is
anyone here who can offer help in this realm, please email me
(revelator@lostgospel.org). I would like to set up shows for the fall if possible.

Some of our artists (like Stone Breath) do not allow digital distribution in any form at this time - so for these luddites, you will still have to go to our website and get physical releases with printed booklets and nice covers and so forth.

Well, we've done it: we've sold our souls to the Digital Devil. After years of resisting it, we had a band meeting and decided, at last, to make our music available via digital download.
The ONLY way we're doing this - and the only official way to get Stone Breath digital downloads is through our Bandcamp page.
We are in the process of adding content now. Most of our songs/albums will be available via digital download but, for various reasons, some tracks will remain exclusive to the physical releases.
Besides understanding that many, many people exclusively buy and listen to their music digitally, our minds were primarily changed because of Bandcamp. Not only is it an excellent, user-friendly, artist-friendly service - it's where we end up doing quite a bit of our own music shopping these days.
We still want you to get the physical albums, given the choice. We feel that our albums are the ALBUMS - the music, art, and lyrics TOGETHER. In almost 50% of Bancamp orders we see from our other projects, the customer options to get the physical release as well, so we are hoping that trend continues as we venture into the land of 1's and 0's.
Stone Breath still has no intention of using iTunes, Amazon mp3, or any other services besides Bandcamp for digital distribution. We do not see the benefit of letting some huge corporation sell our songs alongside recordings of fart sounds and prank phone calls and pop music that has nothing in common with who we are and what we believe.
Bandcamp lets us get the music directly to you - and when you purchase music from our Bandcamp page, you are purchasing it directly from the band.
