Autopsy return - first new recordings for 15 years -
7" single available to preorder now

For the first time in nearly 15 years, two vile new Autopsy tracks were recorded in September 2008, bringing together Chris Reifert, Danny Coralles and Eric Cutler for another slice of death & decay.

These tracks make up a special, extremely limited (only 1,000) 7” vinyl release, titled Horrific Obsession. This 7” will be available exclusively from www.peaceville.com on 26th January 2009, with pre-orders being taken now in the Peaceville store.

In addition to this a special 2 disc edition of Autopsy’s iconic debut album Severed Survival will be released in February to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original release.

Everyone’s favourite San Franciscan sickos - an inspiration to an entire generation of death metal bands - have unearthed rare rehearsal & live material for a bonus disc, including demo versions of two songs, Mauled to Death and Human Genocide, which were intended for the original Severed Survival. Also featured in the package is a booklet with notes by the band themselves, detailing the history of Autopsy’s early years, with rare photos and images

...ja kesällä tuhannen tötsyissä kolistelemaan Euroopan festarit, selvähän se.

Mutta joo, olihan tämä tärkeimmästä päästä bändejä aikonaan (kaks ekaa levyä + demo), joten ei tähän comebackkiin osaa suhtautua oikein millään tavalla. Piisit kiinnostaa mutta en ryhdy postimerkkeilemään, ellei rantaudu levykauppiaalle lähelläni. Pistetään vertailukohdan osalta rima omien 80-90-luvun levyjensä sijaan Murder Squadin pikkutarkan (ja Reifertin tähdittämän) "Ravenous Murdrerous"-pastissin kohdalle.

Greetings, sickos. We need to inform you that Abscess has officially broken up. The reason for this is that Clint Bower has left the band for personal reasons and out of respect to him and to all who have supported us for these 16 years, we have decided to call it a day. Without Clint Bower, there can be no Abscess so we won't even try to cheat anyone with something that is not the real thing. "Dawn of Inhumanity" has become our final statement and we feel that it is the perfect way to close the Abscess chapter since we must do so. Thanks to all of you who were and still are proud to call yourselves Abscess Freaks!

The other side of this statement is to announce that Autopsy is officially active again. With the line up of Eric Cutler and Danny Coralles on guitars, Chris Reifert on drums/vocals and Joe Trevisano (formerly Allen) on bass, Autopsy is now the full time focus. Longtime friend and bass destroyer Dan Lilker has performed with Autopsy at Maryland Death Fest VIII and will also do so at the upcoming Party San and Hole in the Sky festivals in August of this year before Joe Trevisano takes over full time on bass. A new Autopsy E.P. and full length album are in the works and will be released on Peaceville records along with an upcoming documentary dvd. Also in the works is a new official Autopsy website, so keep your eyes open for that. Any other Autopsy sites or pages out there are fan sites and not run by the band.

Again, thanks to all. All we can do is offer more brutality.....

Ihan hyvää paskaa tämä uusi levy, mitä olen spotifystä soitellut. Ainakin kolmasosan olisi kyllä joutanut mitasta karsia. Reifertin ääni taipuu nykyisellään melko huvittaviinkin suuntiin

Gutwrenching greetings, gore hungry earthlings!

Autopsy is set to defile the recording studio beginning April 1st, 2013 to lay down the tracks for their upcoming album "The Headless Ritual" for Peaceville Records. The band has their instruments set on kill and their newest batch of songs ready to come to unlife in order to crawl inside your skulls, lay their foul eggs and corrupt your very souls. Fantasy Studios is the place, Adam Munoz is the conduit and your ears and brains are the destination. Cover art has been painted by none other than the legendary Joe Petagno and it's safe to say he has outdone himself with this gruesome slice of horror.

Expect nothing less than the monstrous brutality that Autopsy has been known to offer. Laurels will not be rested upon, trends will not be followed and mercy will not be shown.
