Primavera Sound 2011

San Miguel Primavera Sound is starting to reveal the line-up of its next edition with the announcement of the first ten confirmed artists. The festival is also going back to the Poble Espanyol, and will move to the mountain of Montjuïc to celebrate the opening and closing of its eleventh edition (25th and 29th May). The three central days (26th, 27th and 28th May) will take place as usual in the Parc del Fòrum.

Pop perfection with the lo-fi filter of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, the conceptual indie rock of the duo of brothers The Fiery Furnaces, the political pop with hints of northern soul from David Fecks band Comet Gain, the electronic conglomerate, 60s psychedelia and retro-futurism of the British band Broadcast and the exclusive comeback of the cult indie band Half Japanese are amongst the most outstanding of the first batch of confirmations.

The Papas Fritas from Boston, who have been out of circulation for the last decade, are another band making an unexpected comeback. Sonny & The Sunsets, a project of Sonny Smiths with members of Thee Oh Sees and The Fresh & Onlys, will join them, as well as the electronic post punk of Mike Sniper fronting Blank Dogs, the lo-fi garage by the prolific Dan Melchior together with Das Menace and the wall of sound of the Galician Triángulo De Amor Bizarro.

REDUCED PRICE TICKETS CAMPAIGN

Today the tickets for the San Miguel Primavera Sound 2011 go on sale. The full festival ticket costs 99 (+ booking fee) until the first 1.000 full festival tickets have been sold.

The official sales points are Codetickets, Servicaixa, PayPal, Seetickets UK, Fnac France and the CD Drome shops (further information about the sales points at www.primaverasound.com).

There are no age restrictions for the San Miguel Primavera Sound festival (apart from for some of the pre-festival concerts programmed in venues). The performances in the Poble Espanyol will have a limited capacity.

En tunne ku ton Ariel-bändin. Mietin, että ostais liput ja sit jos ei jaksa lähtee, niin myy keväällä tai ottaa satkun takkiin.

Joo kyllä mä tänne lähden. En tiiä ostanko lippua ennen vai jälkeen ton joulukuun alun ATP:n mut Barcelonaa jäi näkemättä sen verta ja luotto festarin toimivuuteen ens vuonnakin on sen verran luja et ei tässä mitään hirveen hyvää syytä oo enempiä himmailla.

Kimppakämppää tai -kämppiä vois taas miettiä. Kiinnostuneita?

Festari siirtyy tonne etelämpään jonnekin puistoalueelle et täytyy vähän katella noita apartmentteja eri alueelta kun viimeks. Tai sit ei. Metro kulkee.

Jep. Kun kerran Roadburnin kiinnostavimmat bändit (miinus Godflesh) saadaan Suomeen tai on Suomesta niin voisi keskittää ensi vuoden festaribudjetin Primaveraan. Kyllähän tuossa on jo muutama kiinnostava nimi. Itse asiassa tuo Triángulo De Amor Bizarrokin on tosi hyvä. Soi tämän viikon Värinäässä jos haluaa tyypit.

Eiks tää itse festari kuitenkin ole samassa paikassa kuin ennenkin ja vain jotkut alku- ja loppujutskat siellä muualla.

Tarkotus ois edelleen lähteä ja kimppakämppäilyä vopinee katella sit myöhemmin kuhan saa lipun ostettua.

PULP REUNION CONFIRMED FOR SAN MIGUEL PRIMAVERA SOUND 2011
The mythical British band Pulp has decided to make a comeback after almost a decade of silence. Their first show will take place at the next edition of the San Miguel Primavera Sound.
This awaited reunion will include all the original members (Nick Banks, Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber) and the Sheffield band will play songs from all periods of their career.
The band will be back with a concert at the San Miguel Primavera Sound 2011 on Friday 27th May, a comeback that will take place at the festival where Jarvis Cocker and his band last played in our country, in the year 2002 in the Poble Espanyol.

Pystyy. Oli itekin pakko ottaa lippu, kun pärähti Pulp. En tiedä, mielummin jo menisin johonkin muuhun kaupunkiin vierailulle, mutta onhan toi festarina tosi toimiva ja huumeet halpoja.

Swansin tietty näkee Suomessakin mut Suicide ja Mercury Rev kelpaa kun vielä soittavat viimesimmän hyvän levyn.

Mites toi lippujen osto, onko toi codetickets semmonen millä pystyy maksaa kortilla ja tulostaa ite? vai miten ootte liput hommannu?

Mie just katoin et sais jippuu 125 EUR, johon kuuluu festaritiketin lisäks myös parin viikon päästä oleva Primis-klubi. Oon vaan integroitunut tähän hemmetin mañana-kulttuuriin liikaa, enkä näköjään saa aikaseks hankkii tota edes itelleni frown2
