Suulassanainen popveteraani Adam Ant yritti tehdä paluun lavoille, mutta epäonnistui siinä surkeasti.
1980-luvulla menestyneestä brittiläisestä Adam and the Ants -yhtyeestä tuttua Antia oli pyydetty esiintymään Portsmouthiin lasten hyväntekeväisyyskonserttiin 200 ihmiselle.
55-vuotias Ant mokaili sanoissaan jatkuvasti. Kirkossa pidetyn konsertin yleisö ei pitänyt siitäkään, että laulaja veti The Rolling Stonesin Sympathy for the Devilin.
- Painukaa hemmettiin. Minä olen punkkari, en soita kristillistä materiaalia, hän ärisi buuaavalle yleisölle.
Yleisö käveli siinä vaiheessa ulos, kun Ant lauloi dueton neljävuotiaan pojan kanssa eikä onnistunut siinäkään.
Lopulta järjestäjät eivät enää kestäneet, vaan pimensivät valot ja vetivät piuhat seinästä.
- Hän kiroili paljon ja sekoili kitaransa kanssa. Se oli turhauttavaa, paikallinen Gerry Jones, 39, murisi The Sun -lehdelle.
Prince Charming -laulaja Ant selitti käytöstään lehdelle:
- Show oli pa****aa. Kukaan ei kertonut minulle, että joudun esiintymään kirkossa!
Ant on kertonut avoimesti kärsivänsä kaksisuuntaisesta mielialahäiriöstä. Hän on ollut hoidettavana psykiatrisella osastolla.

You got back into the studio last year and since then youve been working hard on your new album. What progress have you got to on that?
Its finished. Its been finished for six months I did it with Boz Boorer, co-producing with Boz Boorer, and with Chris McCormack of 3 Colours Red. [i] co-wrote with them and some are my own. And we produced it in Bozs front room, which is called House of Boz Bozs studio and Chris McCormacks [studio], House of Noise. And its the first time that Ive really been able to kick out all the fucking producers, cause they took night and day to get the drum sound and fucking wasted my money. And it ended up costing no money because we just did it with a laptop, mic-c, and our ability. And thats wonderful its a great sound and I love it. And its 18 tracks; it will be a vinyl gatefold sleeve, CD cassette and theyll be limited editions and old fashioned singles. And Im not doing downloads.

Mitähän tuokin sitten tarkoittaa, ja kai Prince Charming on se kolmas levy itseasiassa. Ja ainakin itse tulkitsen, että tuo viittaisi tätä tulevaa nimihirviölevyä seuraavaan levyyn. Uuden materiaalin laadun suhteen olen varovaisen toiveikas, onhan niillä lässähtäneemmilläkin Adamin levyillä hienoja hetkiä.

tuli jostain syystä tänään mieleen kun prince charming oli listaykkösenä briteissä ja rockradiossa (muistaakseni) jukka haarma soitti sen, ja totesi että tämmönen biisi on ykkösenä, muistaakohan kukaan tota enää vuonna 2000. no nyt on 2011 ja toi biisikin jo 30 vuotta vanha icon_eek mut edelleen toimii ja hyvin muistetaan psykostep

Prince Charmingin seiskatuumanen on edelleen usein soitossa, mutta valitettavasti se on ainoa Adam & The Ants -levytys, jonka omistan. En ole uskaltanut mennä pidemmälle (mm. pelottavien LP-kansien takia) icon_redface

Anyways back to reality. I've always been on a Daryl Hanna kick, anyone with eyes in their head can see that. But now I realize after drawing the two Daryl and Adam LOOK ALIKE. They have the same forehead, nose, jawline, eyes, everything. My psychoanalysis of all this is that I saw Stand and Deliver and Splash in the same year, 1984, when I was 13. Clearly, these two made me the responsible adult I am today, who thinks she is a mermaid/pirate and does art and faggy cabarets while living in a dream world about what it would be like to sail the Caribbean. I think this is some unfinished business from my childhood (but what the heck isn't). Oh I just realized something, this is the same year I saw The Last Unicorn too...I'm totally fucked.
