You're Generally Indie. There's nothing wrong with this. You like music all over the map and aren't adversed to listening to some Top 40 here and there. You just know to comment that The Neptunes are the best producers around right now. You don't feel the need to debate constantly with other music geeks, because you know that Pavement were the best band of the 90s.

Moronica, taidan olla smaa tekemättä testiäkin. Neptunes on hyvä joo, ja Pavement tuntuu nyt pitkästä aikaa parhuudelta. Ja muutenkin indie on ihan jees. Miten surullista.

No onhan se niin että joskus tulee totaalinen musiikkiaivolohkopöhö (musica pöhömys neurosis) jolloin ei todellakaan jaksa kuunnella yhtään mitään, eli kaikki kyllästyttää. Sitä vaan seisoo typerän näköisenä icon_eek levyhyllyn edessä, yrittäen etsiä pelastusta ja ehkä jo tarttuen Since I left you:n tai Achtung Babyyn tai vaikka Muovi antaa periksi levyyn, kuitenkin todeten: ei, en pysty. Onneksi totaalinen musiikkiaivolohkopöhö on lyhytaikainen tauti ja se on yleensä ohi jo seuraavana päivänä.

kun musiikki kyllästyttää - Syd Barrett toimii aina. Kaikki muu saattaa tuntua tylsältä, mutta Madcap Laughs ei ole petttänyt vielä koskaan. Tämä vinkkinä................

Totta. Olen itsekin kokenut tuon useammankin kerran. Onneksi suurimman osan ajasta levyhylly tuntuu muodostavan loputtoman hienojen elämysten suon (josta taas on vaikea valita levyä siksi, että haluaisi kuunnella kaikkia samaan aikaan). Vaikeaa.

Ehkä ristiretkeni Sonic Youthia vastaan on vähän turha. Tykkään kuitenkin yli 70% niiden tuotannosta milloin enemmän ja milloin vähän vähemmän.

Vaikka toisaalla totesin ettei mikään juuri nyt ole erityisemmin "parasta", niin musiikkiaivolohkopöhöstä (en tiennytkään että ilmiölle on olemassa näinkin tieteellinen termi) ei kuitenkaan ole kyse. Tuleepahan vain kuunneltua kaikkea hyvää sekaisin, ja monet hyllyyn jo unohtuneet levytkin ovat saaneet enemmän tai vähemmän ansaittua soittoaikaa. Jonkin tovin kuluttua voi taas innostua jostain kunnolla, tai sitten ei.

Ja just vähän aikaa sitten totesin jossain etten oikein tykkää kasarimenosta. Onneksi testi kaivoi totuuden esiin!

EDIT: tai ehkä Joy Division mieltymykseni vaikutti asiaan.

Saan tuosta testistä eri tuloksia mielipuolesta riippuen. Olen saanut myös post-punkin (kaikkein ensimmäisenä) ja avant-garden.
