CD remasters / Vinyl:
We're finally making headway with HQ and Lifemask. Both have been out of stock for a while now but have been remastered and are being repackaged. We hope to have these in stock at the Roy Harper Shop in a month or so. I'll do another announcement when I have a shipping date. Those two albums as well as Stormcock are also going to be released on Vinyl. Same sort of timeline but I'll keep you informed.
Re-release of the Classic Rock ITV Legends DVD/CD:
Roy's live performance at Metropolis Studios, part of the ITV Classic Rock Legends Series April 2011, is being re-released by Union Square Music on their Salvo label. The CD/DVD will be available on June 4th, 2012. I know some of you have been looking for this since it became unavailable. We won't be selling this at the Roy Harper Shop. You can find more

Mitä tosta keikasta nyt sanois. Uskomattoman hieno kokemus. Äijä todella kovassa kondiksessa, soitto kulki ja juttua tuli biisien välissä. Lämmittelijänä oli Ye Vagabonds -niminen duo, jotka veti sellasta ihan kivan kuuloista "irkkufolk-trad." -meininkiä. Vähän sellaista semi fleet foxes -vibaa.

Harper veti sitten 2x45 min setit. Alussa oli kaikenlaista (ilmeisesti äijän keikoille tyypillistä) säätöä, väärä kitara, sointujen hakemista yms. Viimeistään Another Dayn kohdalla hommat lähti sit sellasiin sfääreihin, joista ei ollut paluuta. Mukana oli jousi- ja puhallinsektio, jotka tukevoitti sitä saundia tosi kivasti. Ennen Don't You Grievea Roy kutsui lavalle jonkun tyypin soittamaan sähkökitaraa ja kertoi juttua siitä kun kristinuskosta tuli valtionuskonto Roomassa joskus 300-luvulla tms. Tässä vaiheessa olin että ei vittu nyt tulee Same Old Rock, mut tosiaan Don't You Grieve saatiin. Hyvä näinkin. Hors d'Ouvres oli tietysti aivan järkyttävän kova. Toi toinen kitaristiheppu soitteli siihen taustalle feedbackia ja joku nainen komppaili pystybassolla. Huh huh.. kylmät väreet tulee vieläkin. Toka setti oli sitten ihan täyttä parhautta alusta loppuun. North Countrysta Roy heitti että "this song got nicked.. back" peuk Encoressa vielä todella koskettava veto When an Old Cricketeristä ja kyllähän siinä silmäkulmat pääs kostumaan itku

Ei muuta ku hattu päästä ja pitkää ikää Harperille. Toivottavasti tulee vielä uusia mahdollisuuksia nähdä ukko livenä.

"Partly because many of the things I wrote about in McGoohans Blues are still very relevant 50 years later, and partly because my third record was a watershed moment in my recording life, its been long in my mind that I should dust it off and bring it on tour again.
Ill be joined by Bill Shanley and an ensemble of musicians which might have to be slightly more versatile in terms of instrumentation this time, although I have to say that the players we brought out last time provided me with the best accompaniment Ive ever had in my life. I was overjoyed with what we produced, so well just have to see whether we can equal that.
