Having met during their live performance in Brighton with Harold Budd back in May 2005, John Foxx invited Steve Jansen to record tam-tams (gongs) for a potential collaborative release. The dark tones of the tam-tams created a bed for atmospherics and acoustic piano work to be added. Due to various other commitments the release seemed to be shelved until Steve D'Agostino (keyboardist and recording engineer) took it upon himself to complete the work. The album will be released through Metamatic (distributed by Universal) and will be under the artist names D'Agostino / Foxx / Jansen.

Due to popular demand, Metamatic Records is re-pressing John Foxx - 'A New Kind Of Man' (META16CD) for release on October 19, 2009.
'A New Kind Of Man' features 17 tracks recorded on the autumn 2007 Metamatic tour and includes live versions of all the tracks off the pioneering electronic album, plus B-sides and rarities.
To mantain the 'integrity' of the first 1000 copies of this release, which sold out over a year ago, there are some changes to the artwork on this re-release.

The current limited edition version of the Foxx/Gordon album, Impossible will be deleted on Monday September 21.
The album is being re-pressed for an October 19 release. It's exacly the same except for one track, 'A Million Cars', has been remixed so that the backing vocal melody is a lot quieter.

Just to clarify, the Foxx/Gordon Pleasures of Electricity album has been remastered for the new reissue (due out in October) but there are only four tracks on CD1 of the double edition which have been significantly remixed - 'Nightlife', 'Invisible Women', 'Cities of Light 5' and 'Automobile'. Although they feature new sounds and in some cases additional arrangements, they were remixed in the context of the album, so that's why they're not just added as 'extras' in the package.

on muuten toi shifting city aika pahuksen kova levy, pari hiukka heikompaa raitaa heikentää kokonaiskuvaa, ja se et jostain klassikkobiisistä (oliko peräti nimiraita) toi alkuperäinen versio on selkeesti huonompi ku olixeny exotourilla julkaistu liveveto, mut kandee ehdottomasti tsekkaa jos on jääny välistä, täähän ilmesty vissiin -95 alunperin

Former Rich Kids members Glen Matlock and Midge Ure have come together to organise a celebratory benefit concert in London. This very special evening will see the coming together of original Rich Kids guitarist Steve New and drummer Rusty Egan. The event will take place at the O2 Academy, Islington on Thursday 7th January 2010. The show will start promptly at 7pm.
UPDATE: Tickets are £17.50 plus booking fee and will be on sale from Friday 4th December from www.livenation.co.uk.
Guests confirmed so far are The Illuminations (featuring Clive Langer, Steve Allen and Ian Broudie), TV Smith (from the Adverts), Viv Albertine (from The Slits), Carbon Silicon (featuring Mick Jones and Tony James), Patti Paladin and Gary Kemp (from Spandau Ballet).
Glen and Midge will perform solo slots on the night and Steve New will play with his band Beastellabeast before all four of the Rich Kids take to the stage for one night only.
The special guests will no doubt join in the racket and play guitars very loudly, according to Midge Ure.
