Krister Linder on ruotsalainen laulaja joka aloitti 90-luvun alussa parissa pop-yhtyeessä. Ehdottomasti menestyksekkäimmän levynsä kaveri teki Dive nimisessä poppoossa 1994 ollen suuri menestys. Tämän jälkeen Krister katosi maan alle 12 vuodeksi tehden vain kokeellisia instrumentaalihäröilyjä niin downtempon, drum'n'bassin ja ambientin saralla. 2006 Mies palasi väkevämpänä kuin koskaan julkaisten parhaan levyn mitä ikinä on tehty. Levyn nimi on Songs From The Silent Years ja sitä voi kuunnella osoitteessa http://www.kristerlinder.com/listen.php . Ihan kuin tämä ei olisi ollut tarpeeksi outoa jo itsessään, Krister vaikuttaa myös progressiivisessa metallibändissä Enter The Hunt. Kaveri on muutenkin hyvin mystinen ja salaperäinen henkilö.

The story:
The event took place at Berns for two days. The guests were everything from gigants in the IT business to innovators in all kinds of media. After the dinner four persons in the audience were given a special prize. K was one of them. But after he had received his prize he was asked to remain on stage because the conferenciere Ola Alvarsson had a special wish; that K sang something for the audience. He grabs the mic and blasts off a round that will reverberate in the walls of Berns forever and always ;-)

Krister Linderillä on uusi biisi myspacessa joka on myös paras ikinä. Biisin nimi on Blue Skies ja on vissiin jonkun ruotsalaisen elokuvan soundtrackilla jonka julkaisu on syksyllä. Tulee hieman mieleen Coldplay mutta vitusti parempana, on se kova!

Lisäksi mr. Linder on tällä hetkellä New Yorkissa tekemässä soundtrackia Vincent Gallon uuteen elokuvaan ja äänittämässä UUTTA LEVYÄ.

Tarkennetaan sen verran että Gallo esittää pääosaa. Joka tapauksessa myspacessa on kuultavissa elokuvan lopputekstien aikana kuultava kappale DARE joka vähemmän yllättäen on aivan vitun hyvä. Kauneinta musiikkia mitä maailmasta löytyy.

Krister Linderiltä tuli Shrine Of Time Remixed ep. Remixejä on ollut väsäämässä kohtuu kova nimi Solar Fields, ja sitten Omnimotion, I Awake ja Archvillain. Henk koht tykkään eniten Solar Fieldsin remixistä, ja se on itseasiassa aika saatanan hyvä. Nämä kaksi ovat tehneet livekeikkaa jonkin verran yhdessä, olisi kiva kuulla ihan levyllinenkin yhteismateriaalia.

As a singer and artist selling gold records at 17, one of my hardest battles was to balance my artistic expression with my seeker's path. Why? Because a spiritual seeker becomes increasingly aware of ones ego.
In youth I was driven and str
ong. My success felt well deserved. But the more I investigated into my psyche and questioned myself, the less impressed I was. For all I saw was a childish ego. And as I became less interested in pampering this ego, the more uncomfortable and ridiculous the performer's path appeared. Even when trying to write spiritual songs about selflessness or illumination, all I could see was my ego's need to look wise and elevated. In every attempt to express myself artistically, I only saw the ego's need to shine. Soon I saw no other reason to be on stage than a petty lust for attention and the pathetic need to feel special. And so, when finally the applause disgusted me, I stopped performing.
Withdrawing into the anonymity of a house by the lake, three hours from Stockholm city, I gave myself some time for soul searching. And what I feared was true. My artistry had ignorantly sprung from a need to be seen and heard; a foolish youth's longing to stand out and rise above. But if I was to embody my current notion that the ego wasn't worth living for, I simply had to give the whole performer up. So I did. And then went fully into a phase of loathing:
"F**K IDENTIFYING WITH THIS SHALLOW SH*T, CHASING A CAREER IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN LIKE SOME IGNORANT GLAMOR ADDICT. ENOUGH, YOU INFANTILE IDIOT. NOW WAKE UP AND GET A LIFE!"
Years later, in the peace and stillness of the countryside, freed from the need of the world's approval, I woke up one day and was ready to ask what I'd do with my life if I could chose absolutely anything. And this time, leaving the audience out of it, I envisioned myself stranded on a deserted island with only the sea and sky as witnesses. What would I chose to do with the rest of my life if stranded on this deserted island, I thought. And clear as day I felt the pure surge of my true calling. Apart from basic survival needs, all I wanted was to sing. Out there, with just waves and driftwood to accompany me, I would happily watch clouds roll by and let my voice ring out like an echo against the heavens. With no one to applause and confirm me, no pretense to asses or audience to impress, I would joyously sing 'til my dying day. So there it was. Clean at last.
Now.. The catch 22 is that no man is an island, and to live on song alone is not the way of the west. But at least now I now why I'm doing this, and from what part of the I.

Muistan kun lähes päivälleen kuusi vuotta sitten kuulin 12 vuoden hiljaisuuden jälkeen julkaistun albumin ensisinkulla tuon äänen ensimmäistä kertaa. Taisin ehtiä ensimmäiseen kertosäkeeseen kun olin jo tilannut levyn, jokin siinä äänessä iski lujempaa kuin mikää ennen sitä tai sen jälkeen, eikä se varmasti ollut se fraseeraus, falsetti tai "kaunis" ääni vaan jokin Suurempi, Tärkeämpi ja Merkityksellisempi sen takana. Nyt kuusi vuotta myöhemmin tuon tekstin lukeminen tuntuu hemmetin palkitsevalta.
