The Young The Faceless and The Codes - About the most Fall-like so far, and the funkiest. Full of delightful electro blips and bleeps.

Duckrog - But talking of funk, we stray into dub-like hip-hop here with startling, and pleasing, results. Very danceable beat. Just watch the kids grooving to this one when its played live. Nice.

Chicken Yaiamas - The acoustic guitar picking background here has a bluesy/bluegrassy feel to it, that soon takes off into an infectious groove while MES describes his difficulty with following a chicken cooking recipe (by the sound of it).

That Sound Wiped - One of MESs classic spoken/sung recollection lyric apparently about an encounter with a yellow-helmeted singer-songwriter over a funky synthy disco groove replete with handclaps. Absolute cracker.

Jbak Lois Lane - Is this the first use of a hedge trimmer in popular music? MES remonstrates (with his neighbours gardener?) over the noise hes making on a Sunday morning.

Dearest Friends - The music sounds like African high-life guitar. Prettiest track on the album. Beautiful, in fact. [/quote:7f26da6a3f]

Oon vihdoinkin Von Südenfed (pun joo), ihammahtava plätty ja yllättävän grimee meininkiä, mut parempaa kuin mikään mitä oon kuullut Wileyn tai Dizzee Rascalin uusilta levyiltä toistaseks.

MES on aivan elementissään tässä kun pääsee tylyjen taustojen päälle lakaseen tylysti. Toivottavasti tekevät tätä jatkossakin.

Kopsin festivaalikasetille Reflexxionsin ja perään pari biisiä Reformationia. Vaikuttaisi siltä että minä pidän Reformationista koko ajan vain enemmän ja enemmän (Reflexxionssia tietenkään vähättelemättä).

Ostinpa huvikseni Fall Heads Rollin kun satuin sen kaupasta löytämään. Pitänee seuraavaksi alkaa hankkia sitten niitä 90-luvun elektronisempia levyjä eli kaivetaanpa se psykokarkin lista jostain esiin...

EDIT: soittivat Primaverassa muuten aika paljon biisejä tuolta Fall Heads Rolliltakin ja mm. sen ekan (mikäs Ride On se nyt onkaan?)

Elikkä noi kolme Fontana-eran levyä nyt uusintajulkaisuvuorossa näkyis olevan.

Mulla on noista vaan toi Extricate eikä mikään Fall-suosikki oo, jotkut taitaa pitää sitä kovemmassakin arvossa, mut ihan pl toki, Telephone Thing on sellanen piisi jota tulee useimmin tuolta kuunneltua.

Mutta sitten semmonen löytyy ku samaan aikaan julkaistu White Lightning/Blood Outta Stone 7" ja siinä toi b-puoli on yks suosikkipiisejä koko bändiltä niinku ikuna! Ootteko kuullu, taitaa löytyy nyt tästä uusintapaketista?
